This article evaluates empirically the effect o f market introduction on the level o f regional inequalities and on the polarisation o f economic activities in Poland. We note an increase o f the disparities between regions over the relevant period. The re-polarisation process cannot been explained by a spatial re-allocation of labour force but rather results o f the differentiation of sectoral restructuring between regions the regional diversity o f sectoral adaptation. The search for agglomeration economies explains the spatial concentration o f services and o f added value in the regions where the biggest cities are located. International audience; Dans une recherche par l'entreprise de source de compétitivité, la localisation dans une région à haut niveau de formation de la main-d'oeuvre peut être une stratégie a priori pertinente. Dans ce texte, on tente dedonner une explication des performances d'une région à l'exportation en fonction des niveaux de formation de la population active disponible et de la structure des qualifications qui en découle. On peut vérifier que l'effet de la qualité des formations régionales influence la capacité à exporter d'une région. Les tests sont réalisés sur 70 régions d'Europe englobant les découpages territoriaux de l'4espagne, de la France, de l'Italie et de la RFA
